FAQs

What size are your panels?

Our panelling comes in two widths, 85mm and 130mm. This measurement is the effective cover of each board and does not include the tongue.  The standard thickness is 19mm, but we can also provide 12mm and 10mm panelling.

What grades are your panels?

The standard grade for our panelling is no.1 panelling grade. This grade allows for any number of tight knots, as well as some small black knots or other marks. In some timbers we can offer no.2 panelling grade (larger tight knots, more black knots) or clears (free from knots). The grade is determined from the best face of the board.

What size are you able to make a benchtop?

We can produce them in any size, to a standard thickness of 33mm.

If I show you a picture of a designer table from a magazine, can you recreate it for me?

We prefer to work with our own designs, or to work with you on your design. However, we are happy to discuss designing you a table which incorporates elements of your designer dream table.

What are the main species of wood you stock?

Primarily Cypress (e.g., Macrocarpa and Lusitanica), Eucalypts, Poplar and Australian blackwood. However, we stock smaller quantities of other speciality timbers which are perfect for bespoke projects and joinery.

What grades of flooring do you provide?

We can supply flooring in two grades. ‘Premium’ is mostly clear, with the odd small knot and blemish. ‘Standard’ or ‘feature’ consists of mostly tight knots, with clear sections and the occasional black knot which can be docked or filled.

What are the dimensions of timber flooring?

The standard dimensions for flooring are 130 x 19mm and 85 x 19mm.  It is also possible to run flooring at a 10mm and 12mm thickness for overlay.
